The register contains the content of the property’s camera surveillance recordings.

Why and on what basis we process personal data?

Personal data is processed on the basis of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health’s legitimate interest (General Data Protection Regulation Article 6, Section 1(f)). The legitimate interests are securing the operations and data security of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, protecting the personnel and property of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and recording and investigating accidents and other incidents.

What personal data we process?

Camera surveillance is carried out in the vicinity of the property’s entrances. The recordings show the persons in the vicinity of the entrances and the time of recording.

How we obtain your personal data?

Personal data is obtained from the visual information provided by surveillance cameras.

For what purposes we disclose personal data?

Personal data is processed on behalf of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health by AccessPoint Oy, who record and, if necessary, study the visual material included in the recordings. The data may be disclosed to authorities (e.g. the police) to the extent required and allowed by law.

We use the services of IT service providers that provide us with technical solutions for data processing. Personal data is processed in IT services suitable and secure for each type of data. The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health has an agreement with each IT service provider, and the terms and conditions for the processing of personal data have been defined.     

Do we transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA area?

The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health does not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.

How long we store personal data?

The personal data obtained from camera surveillance is stored for a maximum of one (1) month from the date of recording, unless a longer storage period is specified by law or the data is needed in an accident or criminal investigation.

Do we conduct automated decision-making or profiling?

Automated decision-making or profiling is not carried out.

Your rights

You have several rights in regard to your personal data, which vary according to the situation. You can submit a request to the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health regarding your personal data either as a free-form request in writing or by using a form provided by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.

Submit the request to the Data Protection Officer of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. You will receive a response to your request. The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health may refuse to execute a personal data request or restrict the exercise of the data subject's rights in situations permitted by law.
