Manage the risks: Diisocyanates at work online training course
The training requirement for diisocyanates aims to prevent occupational allergies and asthma. According to the requirement that came into effect in August 2023, all those who use and supervise the use of diisocyanates in their work must study safe work practices for handling them. The online training provided by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health is tailored to Finnish conditions. It has been developed based on our expertise in occupational hygienic and clinical research on diisocyanate exposure and risk management in various industries.
Course objectives
Through online training, the student learns to use products containing diisocyanates safely and in accordance with the EU regulation on restriction procedures.
The content is compiled into a clear and practical training that can be studied at one's own pace on a computer or mobile device. Exercises support the assimilation of the content and ensure that the lessons learned are transferred to practical work.
For the employer, the online training is an easy way to educate a large group of employees at the same time. In practice, the employer provides the participants' email addresses, after which we handle the communication with the participants. After completing the training, the employer receives a summary of the individuals who have completed the online training as well as written feedback from the participants.
Description
The online training covers the most common diisocyanate work:
* using small extrusion and glue packages
* application by brush or roller
* application by spraying
In addition to this, the training provides orientation in the hazards of diisocyanates, exposure, risk management, actions in the event of an accident, safe work methods and protective clothing.
Completion of the training requires a passing grade on the final test and job-specific test assignments. Upon successful completion, the student can download a certificate.

Pricing
The price of the online training on this page applies to individual participants. When the online training is organized for a group of at least 10 participants from the same workplace, a lower group pricing is applied. Example: if 50 people from the same workplace participate in the online training, the price is 2 000 euros + VAT. Contact us and request a quote for your group!
