Working conditions and work ability of employees transferred to wellbeing services counties
Objectives
The aim of the study is to
- determine how employees’ experiences of their working conditions and work ability have changed
- highlight factors that wellbeing counties should pay attention to in order to improve work ability.
Methods and results
In the project, two research reports will be produced on the changes in working conditions and work ability as a result of the transfer to wellbeing services counties. The examination of the working conditions focuses on the psychosocial strain of the work, the opportunities to influence work and the employees’ experience of management and decision-making.
The first report compares the situation before (2021/2022) wellbeing services counties and immediately after the change (2023), and the second report follows the situation up in 2024.
The data used in the study consists of the surveys on well-being at work that the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health has conducted in municipalities and wellbeing services counties.
